Healthy Eats Bingo App

I designed a spinoff of one of the world’s most popular games—Bingo. On my app, Heathy Eats, users can take control of their eating habits by completing a daily bingo challenge, exploring healthy recipes, and personalizing their profile to find the best fit for them.

Concept & User Need

I started off by deciding the goal of my app and what I was trying to solve by creating it. This was accomplished by the concept and user need statements.

Task Flow

Next, I created a task flow representing a singular path I expect users to take. This is just one way a user can journey through the application to perform a task.

Low-Fi & Medium

Then, I began sketching out potential layouts for each of the main screens. The low-fidelity sketches helped me plan the fundamental parts of the final structure, which can seen in the medium-fidelity wireframes.

Mood Board & Design System

After that, I searched for design inspiration by looking at other apps, websites, and logos to see what caught my eye. I immediately knew I was going to use various shades of green to convey a healthy lifestyle. I then chose a clean, workhorse sans serif typeface (Open Sans) and simple icons for my design system.

Final Design & Prototype

Finally, I combined my wireframes with my design system to make the high-fidelity wireframes. The prototype shows the main user flow and highlights various other features, such as the recipe catalog and meals reminders, to encourage users to stay true to their diets.
