SFCC vs Shopify Campaigns

In Q3 and Q4, I contributed as a designer on two campaigns aimed at encouraging businesses to consider switching their eCommerce platform from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify. I delivered wireframes and comps that served as the foundation for the live landing pages I built, designed LinkedIn ads and email graphics to promote the campaigns, and even designed a 22-page whitepaper. These campaigns were pivotal in targeting new prospects and required close collaboration across teams to ensure design consistency and a unified message.

Q3 Campaign

This campaign took an unbiased approach to comparing SFCC and Shopify. After learning the campaign's background and goals from my team, I created a visual to anchor the campaign: a split path with a road sign pointing to both SFCC and Shopify, inspired by the tagline "Uncharted Paths Enterprise Brands Face." The main visual required extensive photo manipulation, combining multiple assets to create a balanced and compelling image.

Design to Development

I took the landing page from concept to reality, starting with wireframes and comps and ultimately building a live, responsive page in Elementor. Throughout the process, I gathered feedback and made revisions to fine-tune the design. To achieve the desired result, I utilized custom CSS and JavaScript to create unique, reusable components for future pages. The goal of the page was to give prospects a preview of the whitepaper and webinar content while providing an easy way to sign up.

Banner Ads

To reach the LinkedIn audience, I designed a range of ads, some directly promoting the campaign, others showcasing key client success stories or highlighting the company’s migration services. Consistency was key, so I ensured the banners aligned with the emails and landing page materials while staying true to CQL’s branding. Scroll through some of the banners below to see the designs.

Q3 Whitepaper

I was responsible for taking copy from a Google Doc and laying it out in a polished, 22-page whitepaper. With only three days to complete the project and a hard deadline approaching, I worked extra hours to push it across the finish line. Despite the time constraints, I focused on creating simple layouts within a cohesive design system to ensure the information was easy to digest. While the whitepaper is confidential, I’d be happy to walk you through my copy and explain my design process upon request.

Key Metrics

Not only did the campaign meet all of our deliverables, but it also exceeded expectations by effectively engaging the target audience. Thanks to a strong combination of content and design, the campaign drove meaningful results and generated qualified leads through the collective effort of our team.

Q4 Campaign

This campaign served as a follow-up to the first, with a shift in focus from neutrality to highlighting the top technical challenges of migrating from SFCC to Shopify. I was brought on to handle all design aspects outside of the whitepaper. Working with the design theme established by the other designers on the team, I helped adapt it into various assets for the campaign, including the landing page, ads, and emails.

Landing Page

This landing page served as a hub for all things related to SFCC to Shopify migrations, housing both campaign whitepapers and CQL's platform evaluation service. Similar to the previous landing page, I took it from wireframe to a live, responsive site, reusing components where possible to save time. Check out the landing page below.

In addition to the landing page, I created a variety of assets to support the campaign, including prospect marketing emails, welcome emails, LinkedIn ads, and small email banners. These materials helped reinforce the campaign’s message and ensured a cohesive and engaging experience for prospects from start to finish.
